Healthy People.
Better World.
Our Mission/Aim: is to ensure a well- trained and motivated healthcare workforce is developed in the four identified countries to handle current and future public health outbreaks in West Africa.
1) To properly equip rural health care centers and hospitals for COVID-19 cases;
2) To educate and create awareness on the Continent about the rampant current public health challenges in the COVID-19 era;
3) make health care and social protection available to all people in these rural communities, regardless of their position in society, and at a cost that is affordable to these focused countries.
Proposed Strategy
Our Strategy for intervention is the facilitation of medical supplies and training, particularly for nurses with an emphasis on rural areas through local nurse training system. Appropriately trained nurses who meet core competencies are not only critical to a functional health system in combatting against the
outbreak, but to ensure sustainability of the medical education system, producing competent health workers in the future.
Expected Impact & Next Steps: The program will contribute to the delivery of urgent medical supplies and the development of appropriately trained, motivated, and self-driven healthcare workers who meet core competencies needed for a functional local public health system in tackling future disease outbreaks. We strongly believe that these partnerships can play a critical role in driving pandemic recovery in Africa.
